A New Year, A New Gameball Upgrade

Happy New Year from all of us at Gameball, let’s hope 2021 brings a sense of safety and prosperity to everyone.

Let’s kick off this new year with a big new update to Gameball. We are excited to announce new leveling up methods that cater to your needs, by adding a level of flexibility and ease. In addition to other updates, read on to know more 😉

What are the new leveling up methods?

1. Amount Spent

No matter what plan you’re on, you can always choose to let players level up solely based on how much they spend buying products on your platform. The more a player spends, the faster they level up.

Leveling up for amounts spent will be based on:

The total amount spent on purchase reward program achievements only.
Purchase reward program must be enabled to use this method.

2. Points Earned

If you are on the Starter/Growth, Pro, or Guru plan, you can let players see their progress only through points. Points will be the only variable that reflects all achievements completed by a player.

The more engaged and active your players are on your platform the more points they gain and hence, the faster they level up.

Leveling up will be based on the total accumulated points:

This will include all points earned from programs, manually granted… etc.

3. Orders Completed

If you are on the Pro or Guru plan, you can choose to let your players progress and level up based on the number of completed orders they make.

This levelling up option doesn’t include any other variables such as the amount spent per order, or how many points they earn during this process. More orders equals faster time to level up.

Leveling up will be based on the total number of orders:

Based on the total number of purchase reward program achievements only.
Purchase reward program must be enabled to use this method.

4. Friends Referred

If you are on the Pro or Guru plan, you can choose to let your players progress and level up based on the number of friends they refer. The more friends they refer and are onboarded on your platform, the faster they will level up.

Leveling up for this option will be based on:

The total number of referred friends.
Friends referral program must be enabled to use this method.

5. Score

If you are on the Pro or Guru plan, you no longer have to depend on players’ points or other methods to configure a level program. Instead, you can configure a whole different equation by assigning score as a new variable responsible solely for players’ status or levels.

Note: If you are an existing client, you will still have Score as a leveling up method regardless of your plan. But, if you change this method at any time, you’ll not be able to revert back to it unless you are on Pro or Guru plan.
