Overflowing emails in your inbox with long text are boring and mostly unread. To avoid this, Gameball has email notifications that are color-popping and eye-catching.
The purpose of these email notifications is to inform your customers of their achievements on Gameball. The email notification will remind your customers to celebrate, redeem rewards or complete a challenge.
Still amongst the internet email response is very high, so turn on your email notifications and read along to see how to optimize them. Since the email notification is one click away from your website; The notification can serve as a reason to reintroduce enthusiasm to the customer.
It is worthy to note that Gameball only enables transactional email notifications. This means that only your customers who have signed up for your loyalty program can receive email notifications.
There are four categories of notifications within the Gameball App; Cashback, Referrals, Challenges, and Levels.
If the cashback is relevant to your loyalty program, then you can create a template to notify your customers when they are rewarded with cashback after purchase. Cashback email notification serves as a reminder to bring back the customer to use up the gained cashback and redeem their gains.
If your loyalty program consists of the referral for rewards, then your customers can receive email notifications upon completion of the referral. Customers will only receive this notification upon a relevant referral because they will be rewarded accordingly.
This can also be useful if a person has used the referral program and abandoned visiting the website. If they see their friends signing up, they will be intrigued to revisit and see what’s new on your platform.
Challenges email notifications aim to enhance user engagement on the platform and the use of the loyalty program. This notification can be sent out for many different reasons serving the same purpose, engagement.
You can send it out when a challenge is achieved. Below you can see how Monexia, a digital gift card company, has used the email notification feature to inform their players of the challenge won.
Benefits of Challenges Email Notifications
If a customer has engaged in a new challenge, the email notification will serve as a report of how they have done in the challenge and what they’ve achieved, or earned from engaging in this challenge. For example, if you have created a challenge for high score achievers, email notifications will reach those who have achieved the challenge goals.
Specific targeted emails of achievers will stir the engagement process and invite customers to revisit the website to claim their rewards, and so it’s a continuous process of engagement.
There are seven types of event based challenges. Each can be employed to serve the many purposes of your brand goals.
Event-based challenges can be used as a way to push players towards engaging in a certain type of action (event) on your platform; resulting in a return on loyalty investment.
Since you can have multiple challenges simultaneously, an email notification can be sent out when these challenges are achieved.
For example, if you set an event-based challenge for players to buy for more than $100, then once a player has completed an order for more than $100 they will receive an email notification congratulating them for achieving this challenge.
Upon Signing Up
Upon signing up, players will receive an email in the form of an enrollment email notification, as a head-start into the program.
So once a new customer joins the loyalty program, they will receive a welcome email notification to confirm their enrollment in the program.
You can schedule challenges for a set time and date; along with which levels can have admittance to the challenge. You can also set the repeatability of that challenge to send out notifications.
An example of a scheduled challenge is one you can create on New Year’s. You can reach out to all your customers on a specific date. So if your customers haven’t visited for a while, they’ll receive an email like: Hi Kim, you have completed the New Years Challenge, and you have earned 200 pts.
These 200 pts can equal $20, and this is enough to bring back all the inactive customers and stir the engagement on your platform.
In this type of challenge, the customer will be notified when they have completed one whole year since they’ve joined the program. If your customers have not visited your platform for long, this is a brilliant opportunity to bring back those churned customers.
The anniversary challenge is unique to each customer, meaning that each customer has a signup date that will reflect on when they will celebrate their anniversary of their joining date on your platform.
A birthday update is a good example of the scheduled Email notifications to celebrate your birthday. Nice gesture to contact the customer and win points that can bring back an inactive customer.
As for the Birthday update, this challenge will be achieved on the set birthdate of each customer, making it a personalized experience.
Players will receive email notifications upon achieving new levels in the Tiered programs. You can notify your players of their new level achievements by sending them a celebratory email notification.
You can create an email notification that matches your brand’s tone of voice and identity, by changing the email’s components. The components include email subject, body text, and store URL. You can also add an email signature that is unique to each store.
With Gameball you can enable up to four templates in your dashboard, that will facilitate your communication with your customers.
So, you can enable a template per achievement. Meaning you can create a template for challenges, a different template for referral updates, and so on.
With Gameball we only wish to deliver the message on your behalf; therefore when an email is sent it can be sent under your store’s name and not Gameball’s.
Branding Email Notifications
Also, with Gameball you can alter many details to fit your brand’s tone of voice.
Gameball templates are versatile and can be majorly customized to suit your brand.
These simple steps will transform your email notifications to become loudly voiced:
- Add relevant image
- Customize the Call-to-action button to fit the email purpose and redirect customers possibly for direct redemption.
- Add catchy images that reflect your brand’s look and feel.
A tip: In your email notifications add the logo of your loyalty program to keep it relevant.
Since email text is limited, add some emojis to your email to constitute more feelings. See more on the use of emojis in your brand.
Personalizing emails are more effective than general mail sent out. This reflects on each player psychologically. Treating every customer as an individual rather than a cluster of customers is more effective from a loyalty perspective.
To personalize your email notification templates, you will need to set the variables that will deliver in each email. These variables include name, player email, points earned, and more. So in the email, say: Hello, Jake, you have now earned 500pts!
The email variable will automatically replace the challenge name and the points won to inform your player of which event-based challenge they have completed.
This is personalized because each player will receive an email with their name and their personal points balance.
To further understand every variable function visit Email notifications Components. You will find a detailed table of each variable.
In the help center, you will learn how to set up your email notifications.
This is what a Gameball template can look like.
